ounded in 2006, Tabula Dada Productions is a Vancouver based media company, specializing in the development, production, and delivery of digital entertainment (including international co-productions).

Dedicated to producing media that will engage and excite the audience, with a focus on Canadian independent production, Tabula Dada differs from other boutique production companies in the market by creating a space for new ideas and alternative methods of production.

Tabula Dada has completed production on the feature movie, alone– a psychological thriller based on the play of the same name, written by Adam Cowart and directed by Haydn Wazelle. In January 2014, TDP wrapped principal photography on the Pinocchio Project- a science fiction character study about a man obsessed with curing violence, by writer/director Anand Raghavan. Set to go to camera in fall of 2014, Hello, Destroyer, the debut feature from critically acclaimed writer/director Kevan Funk, in co-production with Domogeneous, explores how a young athlete’s promising future quickly begins to unravel after the fallout of a violent incident transforms him from local hero, into pariah.

Dads, produced with Vancouver documentary producers The Sound Films, and in a association with CBC, is a documentary exploring contemporary fatherhood, and had its world premiere on Father’s Day 2013. Pilgrims was featured at the Cannes Short Film Corner in 2013 and had its World Premiere at TIFF 2013. The short was written and directed by Marie Clements, and starred Lorne Cardinal (Corner Gas) and Tantoo Cardinal (Legends of the Fall). The feature adaptation of Pilgrims was also selected to participate at the 2014 Cinemart Rotterdam Lab, along with producer and TDP lead, Haydn Wazelle. This Bleeding Heart from writer/director Kevan Funk and cinematographer Benjamin Loeb was also featured at the Cannes Short Film Corner in 2013. In the Deep, directed by Nimisha Mukerji had its World Premiere at the Whistler Film Festival ’13. Karen Chapman’s Stain, premiered at TIFF Caribbean Tales 2013, winning best short film.

In March of 2013 Tabula Dada launched the demo of its first ever video game at PAX East, the CMF and BCFM funded Eon Altar– produced with the gang at Flying Helmet Games, which should generate significant market turbulence for the industry due its revolutionary technological innovations and groundbreaking introduction as the first ever tabletop RPG video game! Stay tuned, as the full release to market is planned for fourth quarter 2014.

With a highly innovative slate of film, television, and interactive projects, Tabula Dada will continue to create entertaining and thought-provoking digital media for 2014.
